Denys Cowan, Cover Artist: Denys Cowan is an American comic book artist and television producer. Denys first gained
prominence as the artist on The Question. Denys was one of the founders of Milestone Media,
and later produced and directed the animated series, Static Shock, based on the Milestone
character he co-created.
His comic book credits include Batman: Blind Justice, Deathlok, Fight For Tomorrow, Cap vs
Black Panther in Flags of Our Fathers, Steel, Prince (for DC Comics), and more recently,
Django Unchained, the critically acclaimed Deathstroke: Chicago, Black Racer & Shilo Norman
Special #1, and Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic.
Denys developed and produced the television series, The Boondocks. He later became Senior
Vice President of Animation for Black Entertainment Television. While at BET, he also
developed and was an Executive Producer on the animated Black Panther series.
Denys is featured in Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics, in the episode titled, The Color
of Comics, focusing on the history of Milestone Media.
Alongside Reginald Hudlin and Derek Dingle, Denys has successfully launched Milestone 2.0.
One of Milestone’s first projects is a co-venture with DC Comics called Earth M, which
reintroduces the Dakota Universe of characters, including Icon & Rocket and Static Shock!.
Bill Sienkiewicz, Cover Artist: Bill Sienkiewicz (pronounced sin-KEV-itch) Born Blakeslee, Pa.; is an Emmy-nominated, Eisner Award-winning Artist/Author. A descendant of Nobel Prize-winning novelist Henryk Sienkiewicz, Bill is best known for redefining the visual language of Comics, expanding its boundaries as an art form, and influencing new generations of creators, by incorporating abstract and expressionist influences into comic art. Using every combination of mixed media: drawn, painted, collaged, photographed, and digital techniques, he has produced work for nearly every comic book company and illustration clients. In comics, he is most known for his work on Marvel's New Mutants, Elektra: Assassin, and his creator-owned graphic novel Stray Toasters, which have earned him major awards in the U.S. and abroad. Advertising and illustration clients include Disney, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Malpaso, The USA Olympics, Sony BMG, Activision, Ferrari. He also produces art for gallery exhibition.
His series The New Mutants (with writing partner Chris Claremont), is being made into a major motion picture directed by Josh Boone, from Fox Studios, due to premiere late 2018. Legion, another character from the New Mutants, has been made into a hit tv series from FX.
